You can process split payments using the Box Office. This will allow you to accept payments in different tenders. Customer can now pay partially with cash and the remaining payment using their credit card or other acceptable payment source.
Note: This function is not enabled by default. Please contact your account manager or our support team to enable this.
Processing an Order Using Split Tender
- When processing a box office order, the user will see a Payment section under Ticket Details.
- The default payment amount is 100%, with options to select 50%, 33% or 25%. Alternatively, the user can manually enter any amount.
- To process the order in a single payment, select a payment method and click Complete Order.
- To process a payment against the order, enter the amount of the first payment, select a payment method, and click Process Payment.
- Once the amount is altered to be less than the order total, the Complete Order button changes to Process Payment.
- The order total will always be shown in the top right corner of the box office, with a note stating the remaining amount to be paid.
- After the first payment is processed, it will be shown in the left column of the box office as "Payment 1" with the amount.
- The remaining payment amount will now appear in the Payment section. If needed, it can be altered again manually or using the percentage presets.
Note: The percentage presets are always a percentage of the order total (not the remaining amount).
- Continue processing as many payments as needed.
- When the remaining amount is processed, click Complete Order to finalize the sale.
Managing Split Tender Payments (During Checkout)
- Payments can be managed until the order is finalized in the box office.
- Click on Payment 1 in the left column of the box office to review the payment.
- There is an option to Void Payment here if it was processed incorrectly.
Note: Depending on the payment gateway settings, this could take up to 3 business days to process. The system will process the void on our end immediately.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Click Box Office located at the top of the admin panel.

Step 2: The Box Office page will open. Choose from the list of events.

Step 3: Choose ticket quantity and then proceed to Checkout.

Step 4: The Checkout page will appear to process split payments. Click on the preferred payment method, fill out the customer details, and then process the payment.
- For cash: Enter the amount the customer would like to pay in cash and the amount of cash they have given you under 'Cash Collected. ' The 'Change Due' will reflect the amount owed to the customer. Once done, Click on 'Process Payment'.
- For credit card: Enter card details, then select 'Process Payment.'

The remaining balance is displayed in the top right-hand corner. To complete the payment, scroll down until you can see the second option. Enter the amount they would like to pay using the second payment option and click Process Payment.

Important: If the payment is less than the actual ticket price, the 'Complete Order' changes to 'Process Payment.' You can continue processing as many payments as you want until the remaining amount to be paid (displayed on the top rightmost of the page) reaches ZERO. When the remaining amount is processed, click 'Complete Order' to finalize the sale.
