Assigning Coupons

Access your list of coupons by visiting the Manage section and selecting the Coupons menu item. Check the boxes for any coupons you wish to apply to the same event(s). Click the Assign Coupons to assign your selected coupons to events of your choice.

On the Coupon Assignment page, you'll notice the coupons you selected from the previous page. To add additional coupons, click the Add another coupon to this assignment link.

Next, you will need to select how to assign these coupons. There are two primary options:

1. Global assignment
2. Assigning to individual events or price levels (including bundles)

Assign Coupons Globally Across All Events

Choose this option to apply the selected coupons to all events in your account, including upcoming and past events. The coupon will be applied to both price levels and bundles, including any products within those bundles.

Coupon Limits

• Total Coupons Available - The total coupons available functions differently depending on the type of coupon you have selected 
• Limit per Order -  The number of tickets per order that this coupon can be applied to
• Useable as Tag - Select whether the coupon(s) can be used as a tracking tag
• Start / End Date - Determine the time frame in which the coupon will be valid
• Timezone - Select the appropriate timezone 

Assign to Individual Events and Pricing Levels

Click this option and click Add Events to open the event selection menu. From this menu, select the events, price levels, or bundles for which you want to assign these coupons.

Bundles

When discount or comp codes are assigned to bundles (globally, event level, or bundle-specific), the code will apply to all items within the bundle, including Products.

• Comp Coupons: The entire bundle, including the product, will be comped.
• Discount Coupons: Discounts will be distributed evenly across all items in the bundle, including Products.

Event Series Coupon Assignment

If you select a Series Parent event, you can choose for the coupon to apply to All Dates and Times on the Series or apply to specific Dates and Times within the Series.

Choosing the latter will open up a toolkit of filters to specify exactly which dates and times you want the coupon to be valid.

Range

Set the very first event date the coupon should be valid for and the last event date. Regardless of what you configure on the other controls, the coupon will only be valid for events within this range.    

If you are closed for a holiday somewhere in between or want the coupon to be valid only for specific days of the week, don’t worry about that now; that will all be handled with the other controls.

Days

Check off which days of the week the coupon should be valid for on your event Series. If you want the coupon to only be valid for certain times of the day, choose 'Set Range' for that day. You can even configure a gap in coupon validity per day by adding a second-time range for that day. This is useful, for example, if you want a coupon to be valid for morning and evening hours but not during mid-day hours

Exclude Dates

If there's a date within your configured range that you want to exclude from the coupon assignment, enter it here. This is useful, for example, if a holiday falls within the range for which you don't want to accept the coupon.

In other words, the Coupon will not be valid on Excluded dates.

Assignment Preview

The Assignment Preview updates in real-time as you adjust dates and times in the filter. This allows you to confirm exactly which dates and times the coupon will be valid for on the Series before you commit to saving.

Managing Coupons and Reports

You can view details for your coupons from the main coupons menu. 

Click Export CSV to download a basic information report for all coupons, including the type, code, and discount amount. 

Click the pencil icon to quickly access the Edit Menu for any coupon on the list, or click the x icon to delete a coupon and instantly remove it from all assignments.

Coupon Usage Reporting per Assignment

You can access this report from the main Coupons menu. 

1. Click the [#] Assignment(s) link for a particular coupon to view the events or price levels for which the coupon has been assigned
2. Click Uses For This Offer to download a report of all information regarding the particular coupon assignment

Coupon Usage Reporting per Event

For this report, you will need to navigate to the Event Dashboard for the selected event. 

1. Scroll to the Coupons section near the bottom of the dashboard
2. Click [#] Assignments for This Event to view all coupons for this event
3. Click All Coupon Usage to export a list of sales that used a coupon for this event
4. Click Export Usage to download a report filtered by event and a selected date range
