Google Ads Remarketing Guide

Use Google Ads Remarketing to show ads to users who have already visited your event listings.

Integration Setup

Step 1

Create a new Google Ads account if you do not already have one:

If you have not yet created your Google Ads Remarketing conversion ID, please follow Create Remarketing conversion ID first. If you have, please follow the Find Remarketing Conversion ID section:

Create Remarketing Conversion ID

  • Log in to Google Ads > Campaigns > Shared Library
  • Select “Audiences”
  • Select “Set up Remarketing”
  • Do not select “Dynamic Ads” box
  • Click “Set up Remarketing”
  • Make sure the box “Send instructions by email” is selected
    • Send the pixel to your webmaster so they can place the code on all pages of your site
  • Click “Return to Audiences”
  • Continue to follow the Find Pixel ID instructions

Find Remarketing Conversion ID

  • Log in to Google Ads, under the "Campaigns" tab, select "Shared Library"
  • Select “Audiences”
  • Select “Tag details” in the Remarketing Tag box in the upper, right-hand corner

Step 3

Copy the Google Ads Remarketing conversion tag:

  • Select “Setup” in the pop-up box
  • Select “View Ads tag for websites”
  • Copy only the Google Remarketing Conversion ID
    • Ex: Copy “1068374437”

Step 4

Once you have your Remarketing ID, you will place it on your event listings

  1. Log in to the Admin
  2. Select Marketing > Marketing Accounts > Google Ads Remarketing
  3. Enter Remarketing ID
  4. Select "Save"
