Meta Pixel Guide

Use Meta Ad Tracking to measure the success of your Facebook advertising campaigns by integrating your tracking code with your event listings.

Helping you get the most out of your social budget, Facebook Ads will track your conversions, optimise ads, build targeted audiences, and assist with re-marketing efforts. Implementing this pixel into your website will allow you to discover what is working and what isn’t with your Facebook ad strategy, leading to a higher conversion rate and a higher return on investment.

Placing your Facebook pixel into your Event Ticketing account automatically triggers tracking on every page of the checkout process on your event listing. Our Facebook Ads integration collects View content, Page views, Checkout initiations, and Purchases. This allows you to exclude purchasers from your current campaigns, target those who abandoned the checkout, and calculate your return on ad spend. We highly recommend downloading the Meta Pixel Helper to assist in your tracking efforts.

You need your Meta pixel ID. The pixel ID is usually 15-16 numbers long and viewable in your Facebook Business Manager. Learn how to create a Meta tracking pixel.

Add Your Pixel to Your Account

Once you have your pixel ID, enter it in the admin to track traffic and conversions.

  1. Log in to the Admin > Marketing > Marketing Accounts > Meta Pixel
  2. Enter the pixel ID
  3. Select Save

Note: To see the standard events in your Facebook Ads account, you must process one sale after the pixel is implemented to trigger the pixel activity. To expedite this process, you can process a test sale with a coupon code.

By default, the Meta pixel fires the following standard actions:

  •  Initiate checkout
  •  PageView
  •  Purchase
  •  View content
